The Embassy of Japan has begun accepting donations for relief efforts until June 30, 2016 in response to the earthquake centered in the Kumamoto Region of Kumamoto Prefecture, which took place on April 14, 2016.
We would like to express our deep gratitude for your warm sympathy and kind assistance.
 
1- If you wish to bring your donation directly to the Embassy, please visit the Embassy and tell the receptionist.
  
2- You can also make a donation through the Embassy of Japan via the bank account shown below.
When you put your donation in the Embassy’s account, please do so after filling out our form with your name, affiliation, address and contact (telephone) number.

3- The donations that the Embassy receives will be remitted to the Donations Distribution Committee established by the local authorities in the disaster-stricken areas, through the Government of Japan so that they can be used in the victims’ relief efforts. If you prefer to send your donation through the Japan Red Cross Society, please let us know your intention by sending e-mail to the Embassy’s e-mail address (gienkin@ca.mofa.go.jp).

4-Furthermore, the Kumamoto Prefecture currently open 2 bank accounts (for Public/Government sector, for other people) for receiving donations from overseas (please find attachments below). If you prefer to send donation directly to the Kumamoto Prefecture, you can put your donation in each these accounts.
