Japan and Egypt signed to support setting up an automated system for calculating VAT

      

 

 

  

 

On July 8th of 2018, a signing ceremony was held for using the counterpart fund of Non-Project Grant signed in FY2011 to support setting up an automated system for calculating VAT with a value of 15.84 million Egyptian pounds. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Takehiro Kagawa, the Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, and Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, with the attendance of Dr. Mohamed Maeit, Minister of Finance and Mr. Tetsuo Yamada, the President of BMC International, which is introducing the system to the Ministry of Finance.
This project contributes to the effective implementation of the financial policies and enhancing the economic reform programs, and supporting the development plans of Egypt.
At the signing ceremony, Ambassador Kagawa said that this project is a symbol of cooperation between the two countries and expects to contribute in increasing budget revenues and supporting economic development in Egypt.
