Exchange Program for Egyptian Youth
On the occasion of the visit of H.E. Mr. Hosni Mubarak, the
President of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Japan in April 1999, it
was decided to establish the “Japan-Egypt Partnership Program”. In
this program, the two governments are requested to promote
cooperation to activate youth and academic exchange between the
two countries including their governments, universities, think
tanks and local governments.
The “Exchange Program for Egyptian Youth” is held every year as
part of the “Japan-Egypt Partnership Program.” About 50 Egyptian
youth have been invited to Japan, since the program started in
1999.
This invitation program aims to deepen the understanding of
Egyptian youth of Japanese society through the exchange of views
with Japanese youth, as well as visits to scientific and cultural
facilities in Japan.
