Japan-Egypt Relations Human Exchange and Dialogue Program ~
Other Schemes for Invitations to Japan
Japan, Jordan, Egypt and Palestine Women’s Program
1. Outline
An exchange started between Japan and Jordan on a small scale,
when Her Royal Highness Princess, Basma Bint Talal of Jordan
visited Japan and met with Japanese ladies in 1993. Then the
“Japan and Jordan Women’s Exchange Program” was proposed by the
Japanese Government on the occasion of the official visit of Crown
Prince, Al-Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan in 1995. It was implemented
the following year. The program has grown into the “Japan, Jordan,
Egypt and Palestine Women’s Program”, with the participation of
Egypt in 1998 and Palestine in 2000.
There are 2 exchanges every year. The Japanese delegation visits
Jordan, Egypt and Palestine and the representatives from Jordan,
Egypt and Palestine visit Japan.
Every year has its theme. Each visit last about a week and
participants exchange opinions and views and visit places related
to the theme of the year.
