-Ambassador of Japan handed over the medical checkup vehicle to people of El Beheira-

On Thursday, October 11th 2012, Ambassador Norihiro Okuda of Japan attended the opening ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Medical Service in El Beheira, hosted by Association of Environment Protection and Use of Solar Energy. Ambassador Okuda delivered a speech, and met the patients using the vehicle.

The Embassy of Japan in Egypt has granted US$ 53,833 for the purpose of purchasing a medical checkup vehicle equipped with medical devices such as sonar, ventilator and defibrillator. With the help of “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GAGP program)”, the Association is now able to give opportunities for the people of New Nobareiya city and 7 villages around the city to receive developed and affordable medical checkup services and first aid.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first equipped medical checkup vehicle presented to the villages around New Nobareiya city, El Beheira, where upgrading of medical services has long been a strong hope of the local people.

Promotion of health has been the priority of Japan’s assistance, because health is at the center of human security. Japan believes that this assistance will contribute to the progress of the local communities in El Beheira and help create a healthy and vibrant population that supports new Egypt.
