On Thursday, October 18th

Project for Improvement of Kidney Treatment Unit in Tala city, Monofeiya
Governorate, hosted by El Sadat Association for Social Development and Welfare.
Mr. Anwar El Sadat, the Chairman of the Association, also attended the ceremony. Ambassador Okuda
delivered a speech, and met the patients using the kidney dialysis machines.
The Embassy of Japan in Egypt
has granted US$ 82,666 to the Association for the purpose of purchasing 8

Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GAGP program)”, the Hospital
is now able to provide kidney dialysis treatment for more patients with kidney
failure in Tala city than before.
It is worth mentioning that
this is the 11th grassroots assistance from the government of Japan
to Monofeiya Governorate, but the first assistance to Tala city.
Promotion of health has been
the priority of Japan’s assistance, because health is at the center of human
security. Japan believes that this assistance will contribute to the progress of
the local communities in Monofeiya and help create a healthy and vibrant
population that supports new Egypt.
