6th JEN OPEN SALON
Japanese discipline,
Martial Arts,
Principles
and Philosophy
On July 14th,
2011, The 6th JEN Open Salon was held in the
Multipurpose Hall of the Information & Culture Center of the
Embassy of Japan, under the title: “Japanese discipline, martial
arts, principles and Japanese philosophy”.
The participants enjoyed the
lecture on the Japanese spirit and martial arts given by Dr. Amr El-Kadi, the
regional director and the chief instructor in the Middle East, the Japan Karate
Association, where he showed some videos and pictures in addition to a karate
demonstration by an 11 year old boy, and also how to perform some radio
exercises.
At the end of the meeting the
participants exchanged views and opinions in a friendly atmosphere.
What is the Japan
Egypt Network (JEN)?
The JEN was established mainly
by the Embassy of Japan in Cairo with the aim of forming a network with includes
Egyptians who have great interest in Japan and also Japanese who have great
interest in Egypt. The purpose of which is to promote cultural exchange between
both the Egyptian and Japanese sides.
