The Celebration of Cairo Opera House 25th
Anniversary: Japan's Participation!
Cairo Opera
House was built by official development assistance “ODA” of Japanese Government,
and reaches its 25th anniversary. It will be celebrated during this season
which started middle of the last month (to the end of June next year) and the
special event will be held on Thursday, 10th of October.
The event
will be composed of two parts.
In Part 1,
there will be opening speeches by H.E. Mr. Saber Arab, Minister of Culture and
H.E. Ambassador of Japan Toshiro Suzuki, and Ms. Mariam Tamari, Soprano based in
Paris will perform with Cairo Symphony Orchestra.
In Part 2,
the show of 25 years history of Cairo Opera House will be performed by all
troupes of Cairo Opera House.
Ms. Mariam
Tamari will wear on the stage the dress which Madam Yumi Katsura, a world-wide
famous designer of bridal gowns, specially offered to her from the latest
designs.
Furthermore, there are 6 Japanese performers who are belonging to Cairo Opera
Orchestra (one of them also belongs to Cairo Symphony).
