Announcement of JEN for asking your message of encouragement to people in Tohoku on the 3rd Anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

 


 

March 11, 2014 will be marked the third anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. As of December 10, 2013, it is officially confirmed that the casualties were 15,833 killed and 6,150 wounded, and 2,643 are still missing. The evacuated people are about 274,000 as of December 2013. As for the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, it is the largest nuclear incident since 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Japanese people especially those in the Tohoku region have been striving for the reconstruction from this calamity which is still a top priority for Japanese people and government.

 

Japan Egypt Network (JEN) would like to invite all of you to join to our initiative of sending messages of Egyptian people to encourage Japanese people especially in the Tohoku region under the reconstruction, by visiting to the Embassy of Japan in Cairo and writing your message in a prepared banner as follows:

 

 

(1) Date and Time

From 9:00 am to 4:30 pm during weekdays (except Fridays and Saturdays) between January 14 (Tuesday) and 30 (Thursday), 2014 (only on the 30th till 6 pm)

Especially on January 17 (Friday) and January 18 (Saturday) from 10 am to 3 pm

 

(2) Place

In front of the Library on the 2nd floor of the Embassy of Japan in Cairo

81 Corniche El Nil Street, Maadi (Entering from the Cinema side gate)

 

 

The banner of messages from Egyptian people hopefully including yours is supposed to be delivered by Osunaarashi by hand during his proposed visit to the Tohoku region in the middle of February 2014 and its video would be shown to you in a gathering to be held in the Embassy’s hall on March 10, 2014.

 

Your joining to this initiative would be highly appreciated.
