JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO:MEXT) SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2014

COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS

1.   Submitting and Deadline

• By hand: We will accept the application only 9:30-15:30, 30^th May 2013.

*We will only accept the application only this day.

• By post: Your application form and other required documents must reach to the Embassy no later than 30^th May 2013.

2.   Schedule of Screening

(1) Primary Screening (conducted by the Embassy)

a.   Documentary Screening

• Result Announcement:

Monday, 24^th June 2013 (subject to change)

• Applicants who have passed this screening will be shown on the Embassy’s website.

b.   Examination

• Only for the applicants who have passed the documentary screening.

• Date & Time: Monday, 1^st July 2013 (subject to change)

• Place: Information and Culture Center, Embassy of Japan in Egypt

• Examination subjects: English, Japanese, mathematics, chemistry, physics, etc.

• Result Announcement:

Thursday, 4^th July 2013 (subject to change)

• The Embassy will inform each applicant of the result by e-mail.

c.   Interview

• Only for the applicants who have passed the language examinations.

• Date: Monday, 8^th July 2013 (subject to change)

• Place: Information and Culture Center, Embassy of Japan in Egypt

• Result Announcement: Thursday, 11^th July 2013 (subject to change)

• The Embassy will inform each applicant of the result by e-mail.

(2) Final Screening (conducted by Japanese Government : MEXT)

a.   Only for the applicants who have passed the interview.

b.   Result Announcement:

December 2013 or January 2014 (subject to change)

c.   The Embassy will inform each applicant of the result by e-mail.

3.   Orientation

(1)  Only for the College of Technology Students for MEXT Scholarship for 2014.

(2)  Date: February or March 2014

4.   Departure for Japan

(1) Date: Beginning of April 2014

(2) The departure date will be decided by MEXT.
