JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO:MEXT) SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2020

**The application window for the 2020 MEXT Scholarship for Undergraduate Students is now closed.  The application window for 2021 scholarships is expected to open in April 2020. For your reference, please refer to the below for past application documents. Please note that these links of the application forms will be updated for 2021 scholarship applications in April 2020.

 

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship for 2020 for Undergraduate Students for Egyptian Nationalities

 

 

    The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT ( Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology))  offers scholarships to international  students who wish to

    study in Japanese universities as undergraduate students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2020.

  

    Those with a nationality other than Egyptian should contact the Embassy of Japan in their home country.


   The Embassy of Japan in Egypt will select preliminary candidates through the documents screening, written examinations and interview.

   Those who have  been selected as preliminary candidates will be recommended to MEXT through a screening committee and the final selection will be

    made by MEXT.

     Please note that the written examinations and interview can only be conducted at the Embassy of Japan in Egypt and not available online such as Skype or elsewhere.

 

●  Application submission date:

 

Ø  BY HAND.   ONLY on Wednesday, 29th and on Thursday, 30th May 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..

·  Application documents will be accepted ONLY on the above two days.

·  Any application documents submitted other than the above dates will not be considered for screening.

·  All Application documents must be submitted together.

 

Ø  BY POST   Must be delivered at the Embassy on or before Thursday, 30th May 2019.

·  We will inform the examinee number to each applicant by email.

·  Any application documents submitted after the above deadline will not be considered for screening.

·  All Application documents must be submitted together.

●   Applicants MUST read through the Application Guidelines 3) and Note for Application 1) below carefully before you apply and the Application forms 3) must be printed from the link below and submit all together with other required documents mentioned in the Note for Application 1).

     ※Only for applicants who wish to be directly placed at a university may submit the "Placement Preference Form" after he/she pass our document screening. You do not need to submit the "Placement Preference From" at this stage as the list of the universities that accept direct placement will be available in July.
