Call for Applications: Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship for 2021 for Research Students is NOW OPEN for Egyptian Nationalities.
- Those with a nationality other than Egyptian should contact the Embassy of Japan in their home country.
- The Embassy of Japan in Egypt will select preliminary around 9 to 10 candidates through the documents screening, language examinations and interview.
- Those who have been selected as preliminary candidates will be recommended to MEXT through a screening committee.
- Applicants who pass the Embassy selection stage of the application procedure will be expected to contact the universities listed on the form (the list will be provided to the preliminary candidates only.)to try and gain admission. The final selection will be made by MEXT after the university placement has been confirmed.
- Please note that the language written exams and interviews can only be conducted either at designated venue in Cairo or the Embassy of Japan in Egypt. Online exams such as Skype or elsewhere are not available.
- The selection schedules are subject to change or the cancellation without prior notice depending on circumstances.
Application submission date
Must be sent by E-MAIL before 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 1st July 2020, to 【mext-r@ca.mofa.go.jp】| NOTE: We accept application documents ONLY BY E-MAIL due to the COVID-19 situation. The total file size must be less than 10MB. If you cannot make the file size smaller, divide the files into 2 mails and indicate it when you send an email. |
- We will inform the examinee number to each applicant by e-mail.
- Any application document submitted after the above deadline will not be considered for screening.
- All Application documents must be in PDF format and submitted together.
- Applicants without sufficient documents (stated in the Note for Applications and Application Guideline) will not be considered.
- Unclear documents will not be examined.
