○Details of Border Measures
○You can apply for a visa at our embassy if you are an Egyptian citizen or a third-country national legally residing in Egypt for a longer period of time. In other words, you cannot apply for a visa at your travel destination; however, If there are unavoidable circumstances, please contact our embassy before applying.
○The Embassy accepts submitting the documents posted below by a proxy. If the proxy is NOT one of the visa applicants, the proxy must bring a power of attorney filled out by the applicant and his/her photo ID.
○If your "re-entry permission" or "special re-entry permission" already expired and you need to re-enter Japan, please do not hesite to email us (ryoji@ca.mofa.go.jp).

- After May 1, 2023, no appointment is required for both application and pickup.

Border control measures (Updated on April 28, 2023)
●All travelers and returnees will no longer be required to submit either a certificate of negative result of COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours prior to departure, or a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate of three doses or equivalent on April 29, 2023○Details of Border Measures
Visit Japan Web (Recommendation)
- "Visit Japan Web" is a web service for smooth arrival procedure at airport.
- This service is for both international travelers and Japanese citizens and this can be used for immigration, tax Free Purchase and Customs declaration procedures.
- Anyone entering Japan on or after April 29, 2023 is no longer required to show a valid vaccination certificate or a test certificate obtained before departure.With this change, the "Quarantine procedure (Fast Track)" icon was removed.

| Fees | The visa application fee can be waived only when you present the original of "Financial Support Letter" issued by CDM at the time of application at the Embassy, otherwise you must pay by cash when you receive the visa. Re-entry permission Extention
You have departed Japan with "re-entry permission" and it will expire.
You are eligible to apply for extension of the re-entry permission to the Embassy along with the following documentation within its expiration date.| IMPORTANT：We can NOT extend the validity of "special re-entry permission" stamped on the Embarkation card. | |
