3. Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship Embassy Recommendation
Eligibility
・Nationality: Egyptian Nationality.
・Age: Not exceeding 35 years old (as of 1st April of year of departure for Japan) .
・Academic Background:
- Applicants must have completed 16 years of schooling.
- Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a Master's degree until traveling to Japan.
- The last obtained degree final score must be 75% or more.

(2) Undergraduate Students
Eligibility
・Nationality: Egyptian Nationality.
・Age: You must be above 18 and under 25 years old.
・Academic Background:
- Applicants must be completed 12 years of school education, or must be completed studies in school equivalent to a Japanese high school (including prospective graduates).
- Achieving an overall score not less than 90% on 3rd year (or 2nd year score will be applied if applicant is currently in 3rd year ) in Thanaweya Amma. For STEM School not less than 85% on 3rd year (or 2nd year score will be applied if applicant is currently in 3rd year ). For IB, IGCSE, American school, achieving an overall score equivalent to 90% in Egyptian Thanaweya And for IGCSE , the score of the related subjects you wish to study about (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Biology) must be A or A+. And for STEM students , the score of the related subjects you wish to study about (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Biology) must be B+ or more.
(3) College of Technology Students
・Eligibility: Egyptian Nationality.
・Age: You must be above 18 and under 25 years old.
・Background:
- Applicants who have completed 11 years of schooling until March of year of departure for Japan.
- Applicants who are eligible for transfer admission to a third-year course at a national institute of technology (KOSEN) at the time of application.

(4) Teacher Training Students
Application should be made through the Ministry of Education, Egypt. For details, please inquire to the Ministry of Education, Egypt.
Applicants must be graduates of universities or teacher training schools, and have worked as teachers in primary, preparatory or secondary schools in Egypt for at least 5 years.
(5) Japanese Studies Students
Applicants must be Egyptian undergraduate students who are majoring in Japanese language or Japanese study. This scholarships are offered only for students enrolled in the following departments and universities. For application details, please inquire to the universities.:
